Both sites are located in the Teesside, U.K. region. Sabic’s plans also include an upgrade of the remaining Aromatics 1 plant near Seal Sands. The economics of the units to be closed have become unviable, the company says. Sabic will restructure its aromatics product portfolio following the proposed closures.
