Markets :: Basic Chemicals :: Petrochemicals :: Para-xylene IndianOil Seeks More Land for P-Xylene Plant11:09 AM MDT | August 18, 2008 | Chemical Week Editorial Staff IndianOil says it plans to acquire an additional 100 acres of land adjacent to the company’s Haldia, India refinery for a previously announced project to expand the refinery and build a para-xylene complex. The land is owned by the Kolkata Port Trust and houses a disused fertilizer complex owned by Hindustan Fertilizer Corp. IndianOil has so far secured 82 acres, which it plans to use for a delayed coker project that will form part of the refinery expansion.
