Chevron to Close Puerto Rico Site

Chevron Phillips Chemical says its indirect wholly owned subsidiary Puerto Rico Core has agreed to sell all of its Guayama, PR aromatics production facility to Louisiana Chemical Dismantling, for salvage. The plant has in recent years produced para-xylene only when profit margins were favorable, Chevron Phillips says.
