Unipetrol to End Production of Oxo-Alcohols

Unipetrol (Prague), a subsidiary of PKN Orlen (Plock, Poland) says it will discontinue production of oxo-alcohols.  The company's 50,000-m.t./year plant at Litvinov, Czech Republic, will cease production at the end of May. "The main reason for the decision to end production is the significant drop in demand caused by the global economic and financial crisis," the company says.
