KBR Converts MTBE to Iso-Octene

KBR says it has completed a methyl tert-butyl ether (MTBE) to iso-octene conversion project at Valero’s refinery in Corpus Christi, TX. The project is based on a process developed by Neste Oil (Helsinki) and licensed solely in the Americas to KBR, the company says. The process converts isobutylene to iso-octene or iso-octane.
