Polish Refiner Completes Xylenes Project

Refining company Grupa Lotos (Gdansk, Poland) says it has completed a project to produce mixed xylenes at its Gdansk refinery. The start-up of xylenes production is due at the end of this month, and it will be followed by trial production runs, the company says. The project marks Grupa Lotos's entry into the petrochemical industry. Grupa Lotos will have capacity to produce 120,000 m.t./year of xylenes.
