Topsøe Lands Methanol Deal in Russia

Haldor Topsøe has signed a contract with ZAO East Siberian Gas Processing Co. (Yakutsk, Russia) covering license and basic engineering design for a 450,000-m.t./year methanol plant. The plant will consume natural gas supplied by ZAO East Siberian. Topsøe’s methanol technology was selected in an international tender that started last March, the company says. It will be the first methanol plant to be built in Russia’s Far East Federal District, Topsøe says. Further details were not disclosed. Separately, Topsøe has launched...
