Sibur Exits Methanol Business

Sibur (Moscow) says it will quit the methanol business. The company is negotiating to sell its stake in methanol firm Sibmetakhim to its partner, Vostokgazprom (Tomsk, Russia). Sibmetakhim has capacity for 750,000 m.t./year of methanol at Tomsk. Sibmetakhim earlier sold its 33.5% stake in Metafraks (Gubakha, Russia) to banking firm Troika Dialog (Moscow).
