SES Plans Coal-to-Methanol Groundbreaking by Mid-Year

Synthesis Energy Systems (SES; Houston) and Yima Coal Industry Group (Yima, China) say they expect to break ground on a previously announced coal-to-methanol plant in China by mid-year. SES and Yima say they have opened a joint project office in Henan Province, China and assigned a team of managers to oversee the project’s development. The planned coal-to-methanol plant is expected to cater to increasing demand for clean petrochemical feedstock in China.
