Russia's chemical, fertilizer exports grow in first five months

Russia exported more chemicals and fertilizers in the first five months of this year, according to statistics just released. Exports of potash in January–May rose 56.4% to 4.13 million m.t., compared with the corresponding period of 2013. The value of the exports, $1.00 billion, was up 11.5%. Nitrogen fertilizers exports in the five months rose by 8.2%, to 5.08 million m.t., reaching revenues of $1.38 billion, 8.3% down. Compound fertilizer exports were down 13.5%, to 3.50 million m.t., and dropped 26% in monetary terms, to $1.27 billion. Meanwhile...
