OCI Partners restarts Beaumont methanol plant

OCI Partners (Nederland, TX) says it is starting up its methanol plant at Beaumont, TX after carrying out essential repairs on the plant's reformer. OCI Partners said on 29 August that it expected to restart production of methanol during the following two days. The Beaumont site's ammonia plant was offstream for about two days and the methanol unit was due to be down for approximately nine days including the time needed to restart the plant.
