Methanex Restarts New Zealand Plant, Sees More Debottlenecking and Restart Opportunities

Methanex announced today that it has restarted its second methanol plant at Motunui, New Zealand, and had commenced production this week. The plant adds 650,000 m.t./year of capacity and increases the Motunui site capacity to 1.5 million m.t./year. Methanex is the world’s largest supplier of methanol.
