Marjan Petrochemical Co. (Tehran), a private-sector company, will build a 1.6-million m.t./year plant, and Kimiaye Pars (Tehran), also a private-sector firm, is planning an identical unit. National Petrochemical Co. (Tehran) will have a stake in each of the units. Haldor Topsoe says it will provide technology, basic engineering design, catalysts, and technical support services.
