Iran stepping up methanol exports

Iran is looking to export more methanol capacity from its complexes, Petrochemical Commercial Co. (PCC; Tehran) says. PCC’s director, Ali Tahouri, tells CW that Iran’s main focus is on exporting to China and India. He was speaking to CW on the sidelines of the K 2013 plastics exhibition, currently taking place at Düsseldorf.   Iran operates three major methanol complexes, of which Zagros, at Assaluyeh, is the largest.
