Gulf of Guinea Oil Exploration to build methanol plant in Nigeria

Gulf of Guinea Oil Exploration Limited (GGOEX), an integrated energy company established to take advantage of the opportunities available in the Gulf of Guinea, has announced plans to build a $700-million methanol plant in Nigeria by 2015. The plant, with a capacity of 850,000 m.t./year will be the largest in West Africa. The company has selected the Mitsubishi Methanol Process (MMP) for the plant.
