Markets :: Basic Chemicals :: Petrochemicals :: Methanol Cytec Applies Methanol Surcharge1:10 PM MST | February 4, 2008 | Chemical Week Editorial Staff Cytec Industries says it has implemented a methanol surcharge for amino cross-linking resins shipped in Africa, Europe, and the Mideast, effective January 15. The surcharge is €0.15/kg (22 cts) for hexamethoxymethylmelamine high-solids grades of amino cross-linking resins, and €0.07/kg for conventional grades. The surcharge will be reviewed quarterly, based on the price of methanol, and be implemented on all shipments on or after the 15th day of the first month of the quarter, Cytec says.
