Chinese Firm to Commercialize MTP Technology

Anhui Huainan Chemical Group (AHCG; Huainan, China) is building a methanol-to-propylene (MTP) pilot plant at Huainan based on technology developed by Tsinghua University (Beijing), CW has learned. The project is expected to lead to construction of a commercial-scale MTP plant, the first MTP unit to use Chinese technology. The plant could be completed in 2013.
