Celanese to Build Ethanol, Methanol Facilities?

Celanese may be considering investing about $550 million- $1 billion at its Clear Lake, TX plant. Mark Rohr, CEO of Celanese, recently told the Dallas Morning News that the company will decide by the end of the year whether to add on to its Clear Lake plant or build a new site in Louisiana. The investments would be made over the course of the next three years, and would take advantage of low U.S. natural gas prices, Rohr says.   No specifics were outlined for the type of plant that may be built, but analysts say the company could build a 600,000-m.t./year...
