Methanex invests in Icelandic renewable methanol firm

Methanex says it has made an initial $5-million investment in renewable methanol producer Carbon Recycling International (CRI; Reykjavík). CRI operates the world's first renewable methanol plant at Svartsengi, Iceland. The plant uses CRI’s emissions-to-liquids (ETL) technology to convert renewable energy and recycled carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions to renewable methanol.
