Synthesis Energy Systems China jv starts methanol production

Synthesis Energy Systems (SES; Houston) says that its previously announced joint venture with coal company Yima Coal Industry Group (Yima, China) has begun production of methanol. The plant, located in the Maozhuang Industrial Park, in Henan Province, China, will be ramping up methanol production to full capacity as the jv completes all remaining commissioning and start-up steps throughout the first half of 2013, SES says.
