Methanex secures further long-term gas supplies in New Zealand

Methanex says it has secured further gas supplies in New Zealand. The new gas quantities equate to about 2.5 million m.t. of methanol production over the next five years, the company says. Methanex, in July 2012, restarted a 650,000-m.t./year methanol plant at its Motunui site in New Zealand, increasing the total capacity at the site to 1.5 million m.t./year.
