Huntsman plans to produce glycerin-based PG commercially by 2008, with initial capacity of 100 million lbs/year. “We expect the rapid growth in biodiesel production worldwide to create a surplus of glycerin and, with it, an opportunity,” says Dave Parkin, v.p./performance intermediates at Huntsman.
