EO-EG Plant Based on Dow Technology Starts up in China

Dow Chemical says that plants based on the company's Meteor-process technology to produce ethylene oxide and ethylene glycol (EO-EG) have started up at Sinopec Sabic Tianjin Petrochemical Co.’s (SSTPC) petchem complex at Tianjin, China. The units have capacity to produce about 40,000 m.t./year of EO and about 360,000 m.t./year of EG, the company says.
