Beginning in the second half of 2012, Westlake plans to increase capacity at one of its ethylene plants at Lake Charles, LA, boosting capacity by 230 million- 240 million lbs/year. A second expansion will take place in 2014 at a neighboring ethylene unit at Lake Charles, adding about 250 million lbs/year.
