Sasol Expects Decision on Lake Charles GTL by Year-End, Ethane Cracker in 2013

Sasol says a feasibility study for its Lake Charles, LA gas-to-liquids (GTL) is “progressing” and a decision to proceed with front-end engineering and design (FEED) will be made in second-half 2012. The company announced last year it plans to build an integrated GTL and chemicals complex at an estimated cost of $8 billion-$10 billion.
