Russian petchem producer commissions ethylene furnace

Gazprom Neftekhim Salavat (Salavat, Russia) has commissioned a new ethylene furnace at its Salavat based petrochemical complex. The new generation SRT-VI furnace was delivered by CB&I’s technology affiliate Lummus. The furnace is feedstock-flexible and can use natural gas liquids or naphtha as raw materials.  The project has raised the company’s capacity by 13% and this year Gazprom Neftekhim Salavat plans to produce 310,000 m.t. of ethylene, 23% more than in 2012...
