Global demand for ethylene is expected to increase 3.9% in 2012, to about 132 million m.t., and is expected to grow about 4.3%/year through 2016, according to CMAI (Houston). Global propylene demand, meanwhile, is forecast to grow 4%, to about 83 million m.t. in 2012.
