Linde and Technip compete to supply olefins technology for world-scale plant in Russia

SamaraNefteOrgSintez (Sanors; Novokuibyshevsk, Russia) says it will select technology for a world-scale olefins complex at the end of January. The complex, planned at Novokuibyshevsk, will be designed to produce 1.2 million m.t./year of ethylene and 600,000 m.t./year of propylene. Linde and Technip are competing for the technology award. Earlier this year Sanors and Rosneft signed a heads of agreement to form a joint venture to build a petrochemical complex at Novokuibyshevsk.
