Dow JV Shutters Canadian Cracker and PE Plant

Petromont (Montreal), a 50-50 joint venture between Dow Chemical and the investment arm of the provincial government of Quebec, says it is suspending operations at its ethylene and polyethylene (PE) plants for an “undetermined period of time” due to rising feedstock prices and an unfavorable exchange rate.
