After the general retreat in spot prices two weeks ago, the relative strengths and weaknesses of various products came to the fore last week. Spot ethylene in the U.S. turned upward about 2 cts/lb following several weeks of decline. January delivery traded at 33.6 cts/lb and 33.9 cts/lb del, sources say.
