The project, dubbed Ethylene XXI, will be based on ethane feedstock and produce 1.05 million m.t./year of ethylene. It will be the core facility at the Coatzacoalcos, Mexico complex. It will also include a 300,000-m.t./year, LyondellBasell tubular process low-density polyethylene plant and two high-density polyethylene (HDPE) facilities with a combined capacity of 750,000 m.t./year.
