Borouge 3 cracker in start-up phase, full production by year-end

Borouge, a 60-40 joint venture between Abu Dhabi National Oil Co. and Borealis (Vienna), has begun starting up the Borouge 3 gas cracker complex. Abdulaziz Alhajri, CEO of Borouge, told CW on the sidelines of the recent Asia Petrochemical Industry Conference at Pattaya, Thailand, that Borouge has started the flare system at the Borouge 3 ethane cracker.
