BASF Total Petrochemicals commissions new cracker furnace at Port Arthur, TX

BASF Total Petrochemicals, a 60-40 joint venture between BASF and Total, on Monday announced the start-up of its 10th furnace at its steam cracker facility at Port Arthur, TX. The additional furnace improves feedstock flexibility, enhances plant reliability, and increases annual production capacity of ethylene to more than 1 million m.t./year.
