Awarded Cracker Furnaces Deal in Thailand8:54 AM MDT | July 30, 2007 | Ian Young and Natasha Alperowicz Technip says it has been awarded a contract by Map Ta Phut Olefins, a joint venture between Siam Cement and Dow Chemical, to build the furnaces section of a previously announced steam cracker planned at Map Ta Phut, Thailand. The $150-million, lump-sum turnkey contract covers basic and detailed engineering, procurement and supply of materials, construction, precommissioning, and training of personnel.
