The plant was built by the Egyptian Styrenics Production Co. (EStyrenics; Nasr City, Egypt) at a total investment cost of $408 million. EStyrenics is owned by a number of local interests, including Echem, which holds 35%, the National Investment Bank (20%), Ministry of Finance (20%), Petrojet (15%), and Enppi (10%).
