Hazmat Train Derailment Prompts Evacuation in Kentucky

A CSX train carrying chemicals, including cyclohexane, derailed and caught fire 30 miles south of Louisville, KY last Wednesday, forcing about 500 people within a mile radius to evacuate, officials say. Fifteen of the train’s 80 cars were carrying hazardous materials, and 12 of the hazmat cars derailed, officials say. It was unclear late last week which of the chemicals were released during the accident.
