China Investigation Confirms Dumping of Caprolactam by U.S. and EU

The Ministry of Commerce (Mofcom; Beijing) announced its preliminary ruling on the previously announced antidumping investigation into imports of caprolactam from the U.S. and European Union (EU). According to the ruling, dumping exists in caprolactam imports from the EU and U.S., and has damaged the Chinese caprolactam industry. The antidumping investigation was launched last April following complaints from two undisclosed subsidiaries of Sinopec. Mofcom says it will make its final ruling based on further investigation.
