U.S. Contracts Expected to Dip; Europe Contracts May Roll Over

U.S. Gulf Coast buyers say they are close to securing a 1-ct/lb decrease in the July butadiene contract, bringing prices to 57 cts/lb, del. The June contract was agreed to as a rollover from May, at 58 cts/lb. Spot prices are holding at just a penny or so above current contract numbers, but are down from recent highs of the low-60’s.
