Two Employees Dead Following Explosion at Evonik Plant

Infracor Chemistry Services, an Evonik Industries affiliate, confirms that an explosion at Evonik's cyclododecatriene (CDT) plant at Marl, Germany on March 31, 2012 killed two employees. One employee died in the fire that was caused by the explosion, and the other died later at a specialized clinic due to injuries sustained in the fire, Infracor says.  The fire was extinguished by the local fire department a few hours after the incident.
