TPCG Plans On-Purpose Butadiene Unit in Houston

TPC Group (TPCG; Houston) has started planning for an on-purpose butadiene plant that would use one of two idled dehydrogenation units at the company’s Houston site. The plant would help address a supply shorftfall in the butadiene market because of a shift from heavier to lighter cracker feedslates in the U.S. over the past few years.
