The plant would help address a supply shorftfall in the butadiene market because of a shift from heavier to lighter cracker feedslates in the U.S. over the past few years. The move away from heavier feedstocks has reduced U.S. butadiene output by 20%, CMAI (Houston) says. BLOESCH: New supply is needed.
