OMV completes butadiene hike in Austria

OMV (Vienna) says it has started up an expansion of butadiene capacity at the company's Schwechat, Austria, refinery and petrochemical complex. Butadiene capacity was increased by 30%, to 60,000 m.t./year, with an investment of almost €30 million, OMV says. The project forms part of OMV's strategy to focus increasingly on petrochemical production at the company's refinery sites.
