NPRA: Olefins Production Slightly Increased in Third-Quarter

U.S. olefins production rose sequentially in the third-quarter of 2010 by an average of about 2.36%, according to the National Petrochemical & Refiners Association (NPRA; Washington).   The sequential rise in olefins production was led by ethylene, which rose 6.2% from the first-quarter, to 13.8 billion lbs. However, production for butadiene and propylene was not as strong.
