NPRA: Olefins Production Continues to Increase

U.S. olefins production rose sequentially in the second-quarter of 2010 by an average of about 3.7%, according to the National Petrochemical & Refiners Association (NPRA; Washington). Ethylene production rose 2.7% from the first-quarter, to 13.0 billion lbs, while butadiene increased about 3%, to 903 million lbs.
