Mitsubishi says it plans to have a “process design package” ready within the next year. The company developed the technology at a pilot plant at its Mizushima, Japan complex. Mitsubishi intends to utilize the process at one of its plants and license the technology to third parties. Butenes can be obtained from naphtha crackers as well as fluid catalytic...
