Mitsubishi to Commercialize Novel Butadiene Technology

Mitsubishi Chemical says it plans to commercialize a recently developed technology to produce butadiene from butenes using proprietary catalysts. Mitsubishi says it plans to have a “process design package” ready within the next year. The company developed the technology at a pilot plant at its Mizushima, Japan complex.
