Iran Commissions Six Petchem Complexes; Plans Seven Oil Refineries

National Petrochemical Co. (NPC; Tehran) commissioned six petrochemical complexes earlier this month at Bandar Assaluyeh, Iran. The units include a complex with capacity for 645,000 m.t./year of ethyl benzene and 600,000 m.t./year of styrene belonging to NPC subsidiary Pars Petrochemical; a 1.65-million m.t./year methanol complex owned by Zagros Petrochemical; and a 245,000-m.t./year butadiene plant operated by Jam Petrochemical.
