Invista Settles BDO Lawsuit

Invista says it has resolved its legal dispute against butanediol (BDO) licensor Frontech (Houston). Invista filed suit last year for misappropriation of trade secrets, theft, false advertising and unfair competition involving Invista’s proprietary process for manufacturing BDO. As part of the resolution, Frontech has paid Invista to obtain a license for use of certain parts of its proprietary BDO technology in two of Frontech’s recent projects in China.
