Nanjing Bluestar New Chemical Materials (Bluestar; Nanjing) will build a plant producing 55,000 m.t./year of butanediol equivalent product as a mixture of 1,4 butanediol (BDO) and tetrahydrofuran (THF), at Nanjing. The plant will use DPT’s ester hydrogenation technology to produce BDO and its coproduct THF from maleic anhydride feedstock.
