BASF to Build Butadiene Plant at Antwerp, To Help Ease Global Shortage

BASF has announced plans to build a butadiene extraction unit at the company’s Antwerp site. The plant will have a production capacity of 155,000 m.t./year and it is scheduled to start up during 2014. The investment will be in the high double-digit million euro range, BASF says.
