Chemical train derailment kills 2 (updated)

An explosion on board a train carrying chemicals has killed 2 people and injured 93 near the town of Schellebelle, Belgium. The fire broke out when six tanker wagons derailed on 4 May. DSM confirmed that 5 of the railcars in the train were leased by the company to transport acrylonitrile and that some of these were among the railcars that derailed and caught fire.
