Nizhnekamskneftekhim commissions 60,000-m.t./year ABS unit

Polymer manufacturer Nizhnekamskneftekhim (Nizhnekamsk, Russia) formally commissioned a 60,000-m.t./year acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) unit, during a visit by Rustam Minnikhanov, the president of the Russian republic of Tatarstan, the company has announced. The unit, following successful completion of trial runs that started last November, has been able to produce seven out of nine ABS types, the company says.
